Viktor Rydberg Gymnasium

Founded in 1994 by Louise Ankarcrona and Louise Westerberg, the Viktor Rydberg Schools Foundation manages eight primary and secondary schools in and around Stockholm, Sweden. For the recent construction of the VRS Fisksätra elementary school, Agglotech’s distinctive marble-cement flooring exalts the simple, linear design of the school’s interior.

The project
The Agglotech product featured in this project, color SB210 Murano, evokes the traditional allure of Venetian seminato with its high-impact style and textures. As a result, the school’s stairs and flooring are the utmost expression of originality, combining the rich variety of color given by the marble chips set in a white cement base. Agglotech’s Venetian terrazzo unites the unmistakable beauty of large-chip marble aggregate with the technical performance of this material, which ensures both durability over time and the safety of a slip-resistant surface. Wood and metal features complete the design with a touch of sophisticated minimalism in perfect harmony with the marble cement. Light, delicate color tones give the school a welcoming air of pleasant freshness and functionality.
