The store is located in the Huai Hai Zhong Road shopping mall in the heart of Shanghai’s financial district and is one of Valentino’s new flagship stores. The impressive two-level facade, with a total surface area of over 700 sq m (7,500 sq ft), is clad entirely with Agglotech material.

The project
The Italian fashion house gave Agglotech the style and trends to follow in the creation of exclusive materials for all Valentino stores, so we created a custom marble-cement aggregate that reflects the company’s identity. Designed by world-renowned architect David Chipperfield, the Valentino stores made use of Agglotech terrazzo in multiple ways, including for the flooring, wall cladding, and for other unique design elements created for each store, all of which bears the unmistakable mark shared by all Agglotech products. Each Valentino Store has been provided with its own, dedicated products, with Venetian terrazzo being the common denominator for all the stores, customizing the various components for each individual project.
