Valentino – Beijing
Beijing, China
Valentino epitomizes the union of creative tradition and excellence inherent in Italian craftsmanship, as can also be seen in the innovative design of the fashion house’s new Beijing store, the work of Pierpaolo Piccioli and the renowned architect David Chipperfield and which is common to all of the company’s new stores. The Venetian marble aggregate provided by Agglotech is again one of the highlights of the store’s modern architecture.

The project
Contemporary elegance, innovation, and quality are the distinctive traits inherent in everything Valentino makes. To embody these same values within the new store, the designers landed on the selection of Agglotech’s Venetian terrazzo for the flooring and for the cladding on the walls. Agglotech technicians designed and produced a fully custom marble cement for this new Beijing store, and as can be found in all new Valentino stores, a material that combines a gray cement base and white marble aggregate featuring marble chips of varying sizes and which ensures a strong visual impact as it exalts the fashion and accessories on display. Cut from blocks of marble cement, the terrazzo slabs create the sort of uniform surface for which this material is so well known.
