Spotify Office
Stockholm, Sweden
Stockholm, Sweden
Although Spotify has become a musical powerhouse with offices throughout the world, Stockholm will always have a special place in the hearts of Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon, having created their music-streaming service here back in 2006. For the design of their new office, slabs of Agglotech’s marble-cement agglomerate were selected as cladding for a portion of the lobby.

The project
In collaboration with the company’s Swedish partner, Svensk Terrazzo-Teknik, Agglotech provided the marble cement to exalt the sophisticated, metropolitan design of Spotify’s new Stockholm headquarters. A version of Venetian terrazzo, used for a portion of the flooring and walls of the lobby, was fully custom made to meet the needs of the designers. Large-chip white marble aggregate set in a bold gray cement evokes the most elegant example of Venetian seminato flooring, reinterpreted with a more modern flair. Bold colors and refined details met the needs of the office’s sophisticated minimalism in a union of aesthetic beauty and high-performance materials, ensuring both excellent wear resistance and utmost ease in day-to-day maintenance.
