Verona’s own Agglotech, specialized in the production of marble-cement blocks, participated in the construction of Doha’s Sendian Tower, providing some 10,000 square meters of terrazzo for the tower’s exterior cladding, which was installed using a mechanical fixing system.

The Project
Agglotech’s ice-white SB 138 Ghiaccio with a honed finish was the ideal material for the Doha project due to its light, homogeneous tones that reflect the power rays of the desert sun.
The low coefficient of linear thermal expansion of marble cement, together with its excellent ability to reflect sunlight, makes Agglotech’s Venetian terrazzo the perfect material for the exterior cladding of buildings in particularly warm climates. Our Venetian terrazzo was installed on the entire building as a rear-ventilated rainscreen.
