A retail project with an air of luminous elegance. A perfect home for such a youthful, romantic initiative as RED Valentino. A distinctive style, that of Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli, developed together with interior designer and architect India Mahdavi. A new concept store that selected Agglotech and the company’s Venetian terrazzo.

The project
The RED Valentino store in Shenzhen, China, follows the new style developed by Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli and world-renowned designer India Mahdavi, for a setting in which pink and white are the predominant colors in the various materials used. Agglotech was asked to provide two colors of the company’s Venetian terrazzo: SB135 Rosa and SB136 Bianco Verona. The two colors were used to create a circle of two halves, one white and one pink. Alongside the other materials used, the terrazzo was specially designed to match up with the framework around it. The pattern called for white and pink circles against a background of white terrazzo. This important project featured a number of unique characteristics, such as the concentric circles in the floor and the combination of these two colors. Because of this, Agglotech appointed technicians to oversee the work and interact with the customer and with the architect throughout the project’s execution.
