New Breton system for Agglotech
High-tech production system for Agglotech. Breton, a leader in machinery and systems for the production and processing of marble and stone, has designed and developed Agglotech’s latest system for the honing and processing of terrazzo slabs.
After a terrazzo block has been left to season, it is then cut into slabs and taken to Agglotech’s Marzana facilities for final processing. It is here that the new Breton machinery will produce perfect terrazzo slabs, which are calibrated, honed, and treated with a UV caulk. The slabs are then honed again before being dried by high-pressure fans and treated with two protective products in rapid succession: the first to repel water and prevent staining; the second to keep the slab clean. To complete the process, the slabs are wrapped in a scratch-resistant, protective film.
In recent years, Agglotech has invested a great deal in production, from systems to produce the blocks of marble cement to this new finishing line, in order to ensure the constant development of new materials and the ability to produce large volumes of material to the highest standards of both performance and style.
The production line is fully automated and 200 meters in total length and can put out up to 3,500 square meters of product per day. This high-tech production line is backed by the extensive experience and expertise of Breton, which has been able to fully meet Agglotech’s needs for high-quality masonry equipment and standards ensured by way of electronic systems of quality control.
