Marienturm – Frankfurt
Frankfurt, Germany
In the heart of Frankfurt’s business district, on the Marieninsel, rises an exciting new office tower, the Marienturm, that features a sophisticated interplay of architecture and interior design. Thomas Müller Ivan Reimann Architects and the interior designer Patricia Urquiola chose Agglotech’s marble cement for the interior flooring and for the cladding on a number of walls.

The project
In the heart of Frankfurt’s bustling business district, right across from the offices of Deutsche Bank, the Marienturm is a major new point of reference in the Frankfurt skyline, offering new workspaces in this forward-looking German metropolis. In addition to its offices and conference halls, the tower is also home to a restaurant and cafeteria, a daycare center, a fitness area, and a panoramic terrace. Numerous indoor spaces feature Agglotech’s Venetian terrazzo, color SB130 Aggloceppo, which exalts the natural look of the other materials used in the building’s interior design. Wood, metal, stone and marble have been artfully blended into the structure’s architecture, which focuses on a certain harmony with nature. The multi-colored marble aggregate set in a delicate gray cement base underscores the dynamism of these spaces in perfect harmony with the distinctive feature wall made of wood blocks jutting out from the surface.
