Kongahälla Shopping Center

Agglotech, in collaboration with the Swedish partner Golv Importen, has produced and provided the Venetian terrazzo for the new Kongahälla Shopping Center in the town of Kungälv, Sweden. The company’s terrazzo was selected for the flooring of the center’s food court.

The project
This important project in Sweden involved a major investment, and the center’s designers specifically selected Agglotech’s Venetian terrazzo for all the flooring of the food court on the second floor.
The preference for marble-cement agglomerate was based on multiple factors, including: its wear resistance and ease of maintenance over time, as well as the color consistency this material ensures even over vast surface areas.
The color chosen for this project was SB140 Cà d’oro, from Agglotech’s Classico line. The gold and brown marble aggregate against a very light-colored cement base add brightness to the whole space, while exalting the elegant yet comfortable design of the shopping center. Style, bold colors, and durability are what makes Agglotech’s Venetian terrazzo particularly suited to applications involving large surface areas, such as here at the Kongahälla Shopping Center.
