Niederstetten Air Base medical logistics center
Niederstetten, Germany
Sigeko Architects has chosen Agglotech’s Venetian terrazzo for the stairs and flooring at the Niederstetten Air Base’s medical logistics center. They went with our color SB138 Ghiaccio (“Ice”), which features a small-chip marble aggregate.

The project
At the Niederstetten Air Base in Niederstetten, Germany, there is a building used for the storage and distribution of medical supplies. Its construction was entrusted to Sigeko Architects, who selected Agglotech terrazzo as the ideal material for the building’s floors and stairs. A return to the traditional Venetian flooring technique, this material has evolved and is now produced in blocks — rather than being laid on site — which has led to the great success of Agglotech’s marble-cement terrazzo. This product is made in Italy and is now popular around the world. Terrazzo is resistant and easy to maintain, making it perfect for flooring and cladding on a large scale. Today, marble-aggregate floors and stairs are a practical, durable solution while also ensuring design elegance.
