At the historic auction house Bukowskis, founded in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1870, designers and architects redesigned a sophisticated series of rooms and selected Agglotech’s characteristic marble-cement agglomerate as the best material for all the flooring.

The project
In collaboration with Swedish partners Svensk Terrazzo-Teknik, Agglotech contributed to the redesign of the historic showroom of the Swedish auction house by providing the company’s Venetian marble for the flooring and for certain interior design features.
The goal of the project was to create an elegant atmosphere and linear design that would provide a refined backdrop for the works of art and beautiful antiques.
For the marble-cement aggregate to be used for the flooring, the designers selected the color SB103 Medium Gray from Agglotech’s “Unico” line. This unique color has been used repeatedly by many designers because of its consistency of color and ability to give an elegant, linear look to the settings in which it is used. It is a color that features a small-chip marble aggregate that contrasts with the gray cement base.
A countertop entirely clad in Venetian terrazzo was also created in perfect harmony with the rest of the flooring. This piece of furniture has been hung on the wall in one of the rooms of the auction house and impresses with its minimalist style.
