Bally
Beijing, China
Bally, a fashion brand established in Switzerland in 1850 and famous for handcrafted bags, shoes and clothing, selected Agglotech’s Venetian terrazzo for the flooring at the brand’s new Beijing store. The store’s design evokes the urban chic stile of the brand, and the predominantly dark colors of the collections on display are exalted by the lighter colors of the terrazzo flooring.

The project
The Swiss brand is the embodiment of nearly two centuries of craftsmanship reinterpreted with a much more contemporary flair, and this style has been recreated in the interior design concepts of the store. Seeking a modern material that could stand the test of time, the designers found Agglotech’s marble-cement agglomerate to be the best solution for their needs. It is a material that is both resistant and easy to clean and, most of all, available in a wide range of colors.
Bally went with the color SB144 ivory from Agglotech’s micro-terrazzo line, an understated color that features a very delicate marble aggregate.
The distinguishing characteristic of the project is the contrast of the ivory-colored micro-terrazzo flooring against the darker hues of the other furnishings, which creates a modern, comfortable atmosphere.
The combination of color variety, durability, and ease of maintenance have led architects and designers to use Venetian flooring in their projects for a great many fashion brands around the world.
