Atelier Emè – Bergamo
Bergamo, Italy
In the elegant Piazza Matteotti, in the heart of Bergamo, lies the Calzedonia group’s new Atelier Emè store for formal wear.
What better material to pair with the sophistication of an elegant atelier for wedding gowns and other formal wear than Agglotech’s characteristic Venetian marble agglomerate SB130 Aggloceppo?

The project
Style and quality were the operative words for the designers of the new Atelier Emè boutique. To reflect the brand’s meticulous care for the smallest details, extensive research went into finding the best materials to use for the store’s interior design. This brought designers to select Agglotech’s Venetian marble for the store’s flooring. This particular marble-cement agglomerate was provided in the color SB130 Aggloceppo.
A color from Agglotech’s Unico line, this terrazzo features marble chips of various sizes and colors distributed across a dark gray cement base. This is a highly popular color among designers and architects to add a touch of unique character to many projects in the worlds of fashion and retail. One recent project in which this terrazzo was used is that of the Immagine D’Oriente store in Beirut. With the help of SB130 Aggloceppo terrazzo, Rabih Geha Architects won the 2020 Frame Award for the best use of color. It is a color that will give character to the Atelier Emè Bergamo boutique, as well, but without outshining the formal wear that must remain the true star of the show.
